Backstory
Personality
Adelheid is, for the most part, a polite boy with a mannered way of speaking; he keeps his temper under control, he tries to get along well with the people he meets, and he is usually willing to share information with those who don't outright annoy him. He does, however, have a very strong sense of honor and morality, and this can sometimes lead to friction to those he feel have insulted or betrayed that code.
This code makes Adelheid wish to defend those who can not defend themselves, and further makes him very much a man of his word. In addition to all of this, he is dedicated to obtaining as much information and power as he can, in an effort to return everyone to their proper homes.
He is intensely homophobic, and also has a fear of military types; both of these stem from his past, as does his complete misunderstanding and disbelief of 'normal' relationships and love. He can sometimes conceal these deficiencies in his personality, but with enough stimulus they always boil back to the surface.
Due to his experiences in Landel's, Adelheid is becoming more like his father in an effort to become stronger; he is slowly becoming colder and more vicious, trying to remove his 'weaknesses' as a result of this. A part of him wishes to take over the Institute and is seriously considering using that technology for himself; that option is starting to sound more and more tempting as time goes on.
Telepaths' Section
Adelheid is mostly open for telepaths; he has no personal resistance to their powers, and while he is rather personal about his thoughts, there is little he could do about a mental intrusion. As well, most of his secrets have been hinted at in some form or another, so there's no real need for secrecy.
It should be pointed out, however, that when he is in the "Riot of the Blood," telepathy is a very dangerous proposition. It would effectively sound like eight dragons roaring in agony all at once, and therefore very little usable information could be gained when he's in that state.
At Landel's
Adelheid has been around since Landel's Redux, and as such has been there for one whole week~! In that time he has done a fair amount of growing and interacting, and as such it is best to organize it all by people who have made a noticeable impact on him.
Alphonse Elric: Their relationship started out extremely rocky, with Adelheid protecting Dante, the woman that had caused Alphonse the most pain in his life. Later on they confronted each other in the Sun Room, in which Alphonse informed Adelheid of most of the details surrounding the woman he had taken under his protection. That conversation lead, in the end, to a working relationship which lead to armaments for Adelheid and protection for the both of them. Sadly, the 'relationship' was cut short when Redux shifted over to Landamned, and Alphonse did not follow Adelheid into the new Institute.
Edward Elric: Their first interaction was nothing special, just a quick glance in passing during the confusion of the shift to Landamned. Thereafter, however, they met and started becoming friends; first over their mutual knowledge of Alphonse, but then over respect for each other's power and determination. That lead to some transmutations on Adelheid's behalf for Edward, and while the two didn't always see eye-to-eye, there was an amicable understanding between them, which later was pointed out to be friendship by one Suou Tamaki. That friendship, however, soon hit a rocky point when Edward kissed Tamaki; even though Adelheid's homophobia was later assauged by Edward insisting it was all a misunderstanding, and even with Adelheid swearing that he would protect both of them... when a confrontation in the showers lead to Edward revealing that he had kissed Tamaki again and was defiant of Adel's anger, there was a sharp break in their friendship that hasn't yet been healed.
Roy Mustang: The two have had an on-again, off-again situation; mostly due to Adelheid's disgust with him being a military officer and otherwise embodying most of the things that went wrong in Adel's world, and Roy's understandable incredulity at all of it. At the same time, they both acknowledge each other's strengths; this has lead to every situation, from Adelheid saving Roy from a monster to Roy promising to kill Adelheid if it was required. Currently they have a truce of sorts.
Maes Hughes: While the situation between these two is more amicable than between Adel and Roy, it is still tinged by Adelheid's disgust with the military. Even though Adelheid has saved Maes's life twice now- once from a nurse, once from M-U Experiments- and tentative plans were made which never panned out, Adelheid still feels little more than a truce is held between the two of them.
Suou Tamaki: One of the few people to truly get beneath Adelheid's skin, Tamaki was the first to proclaim himself as Adelheid's 'friend', and from there has taken it upon himself to worry over Adelheid and to be someone for the older boy to protect. The memory of helping Tamaki after a Phantasm had drained the Clown King still sticks in Adelheid's mind, but the same situation that turned Adelheid against Edward also turned him against Tamaki, and now he refuses to speak to the other blond.
Phoenix Wright: Another individual who has managed to see the kinder side of Adelheid's personality, the defense lawyer has sworn that he wouldn't leave Adelheid's side, and further has insisted that Adelheid has been a hero. While the boy is not certain about this, he still cares for Nick and wishes to protect him from the worst the Institute can offer.
Eric Draven: A protector, a father figure, a fellow fighter, and at times an impromptu fellow philosopher and music appreciator; Eric has been instrumental in helping Adelheid get adjusted not just to life in the Institute, but life in general.
Larsa Solidor: Adelheid's room mate, and the unlucky recipient of the most scorn Adelheid has ever dumped on one individual in the name of 'realism'. Through no fault of his own, Larsa has been verbally taken apart by Adelheid for his naive idealism and his position of authority. And yet that same idealism now gnaws at the back of Adel's mind, making him wonder if that idealism might not be suitable for him after all.
Alucard: A vampire who has currently entered an uneasy alliance with Adelheid, based on Adel's divine blood and Alucard's power- something which the boy desperately desires, as his own seems to be not nearly enough. Adelheid has shown a slight capability of reining in the vampire's fury, but how effective this will be remains to be seen.
James Sunderland: The first individual Adelheid met in Landel's, and despite the man disappearing shortly thereafter, Adelheid hasn't forgotten the promise he made to search for the man's wife in Silent Hill. Assuming, of course, that they both escaped.
