Rurouni Kenshin: Romance of a Meiji Swordsman (るろうに剣心 明治剣客浪漫譚, Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan, a manga and anime series created by Nobuhiro Watsuki, is set during the early Meiji period in Japan. The manga consists of 28 tankōbon volumes. The storyline of Kenshin is divided into three arcs: Tokyo, Kyoto and the Jinchū.
